CILT Chartered Fellowship

Chartered Fellowship is awarded to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the transport and logistics sector, or those who have attained a position of eminence in their field. Chartered Fellows are entitled to use the post-nominal FCILT, and are allowed to vote at the AGM.  A fellow applicant must already be a Chartered Member, and must have at least 7 years high-level management experience in the transport and logistics sector.


Ranking is based on the year of the Charted fellow is awarded.

   President of TAF Consultants® of Ottawa, Canada since 1989.  His company provides professional services in freight transportation particularly

  in Traffic Analysis and Forecasting of modal freight   movements through the Canadian and U.S. transportation systems.  Mr. Ghonima managed

  and implemented several major freight transportation projects on behalf of public and private organizations in Canada and the United States that

  dealt with present and future competitiveness of alternative North American routes/modes on domestic and Global levels.

Keith Penner FCILT - 2002

  Keith Penner was a Federal Member of Parliament from 1968-88. In 1988, he became a Member of the Canadian Transportation  Agency. 
   In 2003, he left the Agency to start his own commercial dispute resolution firm,
DisputeRes, Keith Penner and Associates, specializing
   in transportation issues.

Gilles B. Legault,  FCILT - 2006

    Gilles Legault was named Senior Counsel, Global Legal Affairs on July 10, 2007 after having occupied the function of Counsel to

    the CN’s Chief Legal Officer since 2005 and counsel in CN Law’s Regulatory team since 2000.   He is also the senior legal advisor of

    CN WorldWide B.V., a new CN’s international subsidiary  that is located in Rotterdam and provides freight forwarder services in more

    than 12 countries throughout the world, and of CN WorldWide North America.

   Ed R. Cuylits, President, Clareydale Services. Ed Cuylits, a transportation, regional and community planner, is a consultant and

    member of the Board of the  Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in North America.  His career spans over 30 years in a

    variety of roles including municipal planning in B.C. and transportation planning at Transport Canada.

   Senior Vice President Safety and Operations Association of American Railroads.  Bob joined the Association of American Railroads

   as their Senior Vice President –  Safety and Operations in July 2003. His department’s responsibilities include the oversight of the

    industry’s homeland security plan, equipment interchange standards, car service rules, quality assurance programs, safety initiatives and
   issues in environmental, hazardous materials, communication and signals as well as exercises  authority for tank car safety standards and design.
